Thoughts while reading (could be about the book, could not):
Mickey had his first day at his new site today and was home before 10:30am. It’s a holiday week, y’all. And I think he might finally also work for/with someone who sees their emloyees as actual humans. God, I hope so. He deserves that. We all do.
Yes, you. Even if you don’t feel like you deserve it… if you feel like you have been mean or bad or whatever, you don’t have to stay that way, and you don’t have to be treated that way.
Sometimes I feel like I’m just smashing words together. Now I’m gonna go smash someone else’s words into my brain (aka go read this book by Maeve Binchy).
There are other things happening in this book, but my eyes barely take them in, because I know I’m spending my last pages with Muttie, ever, probably. He’s such a genuinely good character. I can’t think of another one like him.
Maud and Simon are a credit to he and Muttie’s Wife Lizzie. Wow, how far they have come.

Mickey and I went to see Babygirl this morning, and it was FANTASTIC. I, of course, wrote about it here.
Now, I’m here to read!
I didn’t finish – and honestly, I’ve been avoiding the end of this book because I know something very sad happens and I don’t want it to.
