Your Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman – Season 1 (Disney+)
This was an A+ show, y’all.
It put a fresh twist on a superhero I am pretty familiar with already and the writing was aces. Which, if you know anything about my screen viewing habits, strong writing is almost a requirement nowadays.
Another thing important to me in superhero shows and movies is that my brain can follow the fights. Oftentimes, with quick cuts and a heavy reliance on CGI, I cna’t follow who’s landing blows or who is winning the fight at all.
That was not the case with this show. The fights were honestly satisfying AF.
You know what else was satisfying AF about this show? The representation. Segments of the population that are often ignored or represented as caricatures of their actual lives were presented in a natural, human way.
Yes, even though it’s an animated show.
The hook that got me to watch was Colman Domingo and his velvety voice, but the voice that got me to stay was Leilani Barrett as Big Donovan. He might take the crown of “Narrator of Jacki’s Life” from good ol Logan Roy himself.
The Righteous Gemstones – E6&7rewatch (Max)
You know how there’s a show called Young Sheldon that’s all about one of the Big Bang Theory guys (idk I’ve never watched it)?
Well, I would 100% watch a series called Young Kelvin.
I do not want this show to end.
p.s. Walton Goggins (icon) is hosting SNL when I’m in NYC. I’ma try to see it.
The Studio – S1E6 (Apple TV+)
Love, love , loved the Quinn focus in this episode.
I think this show Birdman’s better than Birdman, uh, Birdmaned.
Abbott Elementary – S4 Finale (Hulu)
Goodbye to my ultimate comfort show for another season.
At least until I see ‘em on Always Sunny this summer.

I have found myself nearly sobbing on more than one occasion. This is a heartbreaking season and I’m worried to finish.
How many times are you going to make me cry, Brennan?! You deserve every bit of brain breaking that Sam Reich throws your way.

New show alert! Every episode a guest brings a different game and a group of friends and then they play the game.
It’s simple. It’s sweet. It works. The host is Becca Scott and I think they are great for this! Perfectly fun personality and up for anything.
