Coachella (YouTube)
Watching music festivals on television is one of my secret favorite pastimes.
It’s a great way to see folks you love perform, and one of the best places to discover new music (aside from soundtracks, of course.)
You can watch replays on the Coachella YouTube Channel… and head over there this weekend for a whole new set of performances.
Other music festivals to watch this way and where they are streaming.

SNL – Jon Hamm (Peacock)
Jon Hamm is like a little kid.
He’s a joy to watch.
The White POTUS sketch was near perfection. I did, however, find the portrayal of Chelsea to be one-dimensional, unfunny, and honestly kind of mean.
Hacks S1-3 rewatch (Max)
The heartbreak of this third season is a lot. I hope season 4 is kinder on the ladies. (I’m nearly done with the rewatch and do not recall how it ends.)
The Studio S1E1-4 (Apple TV+)
The energy in this show is feral. It’s like the awkwardness of Curb Your Enthusiasm turned up to 11. Having Keyla Monterroso Mejia as part of the main cast drives home this comparison for me. Her character in the final seasons of Curb gave me some of its laughiest out-loud moments.
Seth Rogen, as Matt Remick, has the same love for movies that I do and is in a position to do something about it. It’s so sad to see how little he can do.
The co-stars are incredible, the cinematography is crisp and move-like, and most importantly… the writing is off-the-charts fantastic.
We’re almost halfway through the first season, and I’m looking forward to at least three more.
Warning: if you do not enjoy uncomfortable or awkward comedy, this show will stress you the fuck out.
Abbott Elementary S4E22 (Hulu)
Okay, well, this episode made me get teary multiple times. I’m glad Ava’s back. I hope Gregory gets to keep some sort of role in the administration. He feels well-suited to that.
Australian Survivor Season 12: Brains vs. Brawn II E21&-22
The episode is a little late this week because we did some beekeeping on Saturday instead of editing. Listen to us talk about the latest two episodes of this fabulous season of Australian Survivor here.
Dimension 20: Tiny Heist
This was a short jaunt with a lot of potential. However, I think the players tried to hard to “make big moves” or “do over the top things.”A few of them talked over Brennan and his storytelling too much to make this season as enjoyable as the previous seasons.
It featured two Droput personalities that I love Lily Du from Dirty Laundry fame and Jessica Ross of the most emotional game show episode I’ve eer seen fame.
I would, however, like to see one of the four unknowns to come back and play another season. Justin McElroy’s Rick Diggins was a chatoic delight!
Very Important People Echo Kellum (Dropout TV)
This was another fine episode. Vic really emotionally connected with this interviewee, and those are my favorites of these episodes. Echo Kellum gave us a very grown-up, very nuanced improv character.
Sometimes, it’s more fun (and more challenging) to play things small and intimate in comedy than to be big and bold.
