Confession:
Been reading a fuck ton of books:
- The Long Walk
- Rest and Be Thankful
- Bone Weight (Unpublished, was a beta reader)
- Memories, Dreams, Reflections
- John Proctor is the Villain (always)
- The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake (as yet unfinished)
That’s it. That’s the confession.
Whatchoo reading? I wanna know!!!
TV

Game Changer (Dropout)
What a finale. What a way to end (?) a season. There is a question mark there, because there might be a secret 11th episode coming out on August 25. We shall see, I guess.
This episode was in the format of a political debate for the office of Honorary Presidency of Dropout. Since it was the finale, I thought there might be a twist where it was planned that BLeeM was going to get this job anyway, and this was a very dramatic way to announce it.
That is not what happened at all, but I will say this:
My ideal winner won, and I can’t wait to see what they do with their newfound power. The best person won, hands down, no notes.
(?) There is rumored to be a secret 11th episode this season. We shall see.
Tucci in Italy (Hulu)
The Tucc makes me feel good about being alive.
Resident Alein (Peacock)
I am not exaggerating when I say that this was one of the worst series finales I’ve ever seen. It did justice to no one at all and honestly really tainted the rest of the show for me.
Update: I thought episode 9 was the finale, and it was not, thank goodness.
The actual finale was fine.
…And Just Like That Season 3 (HBOMax)
This is a rage watch, but I do like the human that lives in Carrie’s old apartment now.
I also kind of like the character of Seema?
Rick and Morty – Rewatch (Disney+)
Feels like a comfortable t-shirt. Or visiting an old friend.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia – Season 15 & 16 Rewatch (Hulu)
Ramping up for the new season that is now COMPLETE!

Movies
Terri (Amazon Prime)
If you have been reading this blog for a year, you will know that I am obsessed with Dropout.TV. Like, a lot. I have reached the portion of my obsession where I do a deep dive into old projects of the cast members.
That’s how I found “Terri”.
Here is the description:
In a small town, a morbidly obese fifteen-year-old is bullied as he struggles to adjust to his difficult life. Eventually, he finds a ray of light when the school principal notices his struggles.
This was a solid character study. Jacob Wysocki was fantastic, and it felt weird to see him in a more dramatic role, but it still felt like Jacob. And I liked that. I feel like he has some very important principles, and they were on display in this movie as much as they are in any episode of Game Changer that he is on.
I dunno. It wasn’t a great movie, but I enjoyed it. I’ma look for more baby Dropout folks, I think.
Superman (2025) VOD
WOKE SUPERMAN, Y’ALL.
Wtf is woke about this? Caring for other humans? If this movie is woke, this world is broken all of the way.
Too much dog for my liking, and they went too hard on the dog’s ear detail.
Other than that, I liked the movie. The fella playing Superman/Clark Kent was almost perfect. He was the right vibe, the right look, and the right friendliness.
I say watch it. And if you have any issues with it, please come here and tell me because I am genuinely curious.
Unless your issue is also too much dog, I understand that.

LOL, your Dropout obsession is next level! Im here for the deep dives and the woke Superman debate. Also, Seema might be the only reason Id rage-watch …And Just Like That. Keep those quirky reviews coming!
You know what? Even my rages watch has stopped for the most part. It’s just an insufferable show.
Thank you for discovering me and reading my words, fellow Dropout fan!!!
Wow, sounds like you’ve been on a reading binge! I totally get that, books can suck you in, right? And I feel you on those finales—sometimes they really miss the mark and leave a bad taste. Was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed ‘Terri’, too, even if it wasn’t perfect. Nice to dive into the struggles of the characters sometimes, don’t you think?
