Caroline, Danny, Lil Murda, Skyler (Things I Loved, September 2026)

I am in two buckets over here at the Professor Haus. Well, three if you count Dungeon Crawler Carl, and I absolutely do. My two other buckets are: the DC Universe Caroline in the FUCKING CITY More on both below. Wait, I mean, more on all three buckets. Danny the…

Blarf, Stumble, Brilliant Things (Things I Loved: May 2026)

Blarf, "Film Scores for Films that Don’t Exist" (Spotify) On Fridays when I take a bath, I like to go through a list of albums that came out that day and find one with a name that jives with my brain and listen to it… with as little research as…

Drama, Mickey, McKay, & Riot Women! (Things I Loved, April 2026)

The Drama (Theaters) I watched this movie for free on opening day thanks to my AAA24 Membership Cannot stop thinking about this movie. My brain has been begging for a black comedy this dark for ages. Logan and I spent over an hour talking about it the other day, and…

Watch List December: Marty Supreme, The Pitt, and an Animated Fever Dream

Confession: I haven’t been feeling very writery this month, as you can tell by my lack of blog posts. I have a few half-written titles in my drafts, but I haven’t had it in me to finish them. I can’t really put my finger on why, but assume it is…

Watch List November: The ‘Animals’, Two Versions of ‘Utopia’, and some ‘Loot’

Confession: I feel like this might sound snobby or holier-than-thou or something, but it is on my mind, so I will say it. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t gone through all the trouble of untangling so much in my brain. It feels like a lonely place to live some days.…

Television Cobra Kai. William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence in episode 615 of Cobra Kai. Cr. Courtesy of Netflix © 2025 Cobra Kai (Netflix) This show really makes me think about awkwardness in television. Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm? I love it. Seth Rogen losing his shit in The Studio?…

Watch List – 5/19-31: ‘Friendship’, Finales & Little Pickle

Yes, there are multiple weeks in here. I'm switching things up. It felt dumb to release my "What I watched this week" list on a Monday, so I'm switching it to Saturdays! Also, I've been writing a LOT lately, so I took some days off. I'm allowed! And you are also…

Watch List – 5/12-18: Thank you, Sal Saperstein (+ ‘Sinners’)

Television Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney (Netflix) My friend gave me a Netflix login so that I could watch this, and I’m so glad he did. It’s a fucking oddly charming and awkward funny show. It hits what is probably my favorite funny bone: curiosity? The guests are top-tier. At…

Watch List – 5/5-11: Includes Three (3) Live Broadway Shows!

Broadway (and one Off-Broadway) Of course, these are each gonna get their own posts over the next few weeks. I'll come back and link the reviews here, but you can also keep an eye on the Broadway tag, cause that's where they will all be. But here are my short-n-sweets…

Television The Righteous Gemstones S4E8 (Max) Wasn't expecting the end to get all "White Lotus" on us, but here we are. I'm gonna miss these misfits. Dying for Sex (Hulu) I had a bunch to say on this, and even more stuck in my head that wouldn’t come out. Read…
